They were terribly popular in my day. Offenbach had been around for a bit, of course, but Strauss was up-and-coming. That's referred to as classical music now, isn't it?

Would you mind defining rock and roll and differentiating it from death metal?

Rock's more.. tame compared to death metal. Death metal's meant for like.. major headbanging and thrashing around.
